SDC Engineers, LLC is a newly opened division of the Steinberg Dickey Collaborative, LLP family.

We are committed to continuing the “full service” mind set by offering our clients MEP professional services for multi-family housing and light commercial projects. Our firm brings over 22 years of experience tailoring projects to the local and state building code requirements as well as local utility requirements.

We work closely with the structural, civil, landscape, and interior design consultants as well as our in-house architects to produce a set of fully coordinated construction documents.

The team is currently working on several high-density projects in the Houston, Dallas, and Austin areas.

Ty McGinty, President

Ty McGinty began working within the industry in 1998 while attending ITT Technical Institute. He graduated with honors and received an Associate of Applied Science and CAD Design degree in 1999.

Since then he has gained over 22 years of MEP experience and 20 years of project management experience within the light commercial and multifamily industry.

His roll at SDC Engineers, LLC includes managing the day to day operations, consulting with the client/developer, and designs construction documents while coordinating with all disciplines and consultants.

Tommy McWha III, PE/Vice President of SDC Engineers, LLC

Tommy McWha II, PE/Vice President

Tommy graduated from Texas A&M University – Kingsville with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering in 2002. Since 2003, Tommy has been designing MEP systems for the multifamily and light commercial industry in Houston. He received his Texas professional engineer’s license in 2008.

He focuses on multi-disciplinary coordination, attention to detail and proactive client communication. In the past he has worked on multiple projects with Steinberg Dickey Collaborative, LLP in the garden, high-density, podium, and gar-density style varieties of multi-family construction.
